Summer Teen Sketch Exhibition and Celebration

August 2025

Summer Teen Sketch Program wrapped up with an Exhibition and Reception at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Over the course of four weeks this summer, high school students collaborated with professional artist Stephanie Rowley, drawing inspiration from the Museum’s collection while developing new artistic techniques.

This summer intensive is designed for students eager to expand their skills, explore new media, and begin building a portfolio to support their continued art education beyond high school.

A standout moment of the program was the students’ two visits to Second State Press, a professional communal printmaking studio. Under the guidance of experienced artists, students delved into the intricate process of creating dual-color prints. Working with professional equipment, they designed original images, prepared screens, and produced their own prints.

The program culminated in a celebratory exhibition, where family and friends gathered at the Philadelphia Museum of Art to admire the students' remarkable work and honor their creative achievements. During the event, students presented Tammy Salvadore, Executive Director of the Reliance Matrix Foundation, with original prints and heartfelt notes of appreciation.

Congratulations to these talented young artists for their dedication, creativity, and outstanding work!
