STEM Scholars Participate in Paid Summer Internships

Each summer rising seniors in the STEM Scholars Program are matched with a local corporation , hospital or university in their field of interest for paid, real-world internships. Host sites this summer included:

  • University of Pennsylvania, Veteran Affairs Medical Center
  • Wistar Institute, High School Summer Research Program
  • Drexel University, Department of Physics
  • Temple University, Social Development Neuroscience Lab
  • Boeing, Summer Student Development Program
  • Philadelphia Film Society, Movies on the Block
  • Drexel University, Department of Engineering
  • Perelman School of Medicine, Department of Radiology
  • Jefferson University Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Department of Microbiology and Immunology

In September at the Franklin Institute, the students presented their summer experiences, research, and particularly the skills they gained at the STEM Scholars Internship Showcase.
