Reliance Matrix Welcomes KB Foundation Students For Career Exploration Day

Reliance Matrix recently welcomed 20 students from the KB Foundation to our Philadelphia home office for a day of career exploration, hands-on learning, and fun. The visit was designed to introduce students to a variety of career possibilities, and network with corporate professionals across the organization.

Reliance Matrix team members Margie Simon, Tom Blankemeyer, Ed Miller, Charles Hickman, Terri Robinson, and Jennifer K. Smith led engaging workshops on insurance, money management, and entrepreneurship. Students also enjoyed time in our game room and a Philly-style lunch featuring local favorites including cheesesteaks and Tastykakes.

The Reliance Matrix Foundation proudly supports the KB Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering at-risk youth through mentoring, skill building, and career-focused programming.

The Foundation’s “Lunch and Learn” career exploration days bring students into local companies to expand their understanding of workplace possibilities and inspire future career paths.

Team members Dave Shaw, SVP and Chief Underwriting Officer, welcomed the students to the office, and Thea Valero, AVP - Inclusion, helped to coordinate the day. The Reliance Matrix Foundation extends its gratitude to all volunteers for a thoughtful, creative, and inspiring experience for the students.
