You're Invited to Two Evenings of Dance: Tuesday, March 17 and Thursday, March 19

February 2026

Students in the Reliance Matrix Foundation Let’s Dance and High School Choreographic Mentorship (HSCMP) Programs have been working hard all year preparing for the culminating performance. The performances will take place at Drexel University’s Mandell Theater located at 3220 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia.

The Let’s Dance Program serves middle school level students who attend twice weekly after school dance classes taught by professional dancers. In this comprehensive program in partnership with Philadelphia Ballet, students learn a variety of dance techniques including classical ballet, modern, hip hop, Latin and African dance. This year, students from eight Philadelphia public schools participated. The program includes students from Pan American Academy, Folk Arts Cultural Treasures, Conwell Middle Magnet, AMY5 at James Martin, Thomas Holme, Kearny, Greenwoods, and Penny Packer Schools.

Let’s Dance will perform on March 17 and showtime begins at 6:30 pm.

High School Choreographic Mentorship students delve into the art of choreography alongside their regular dance training. Through weekly sessions, they gain the skills to craft original works—exploring the elements of composition, taking creative risks, and making thoughtful artistic choices. Students also collaborate with and participate in master classes led by professional dancers. Many participants are building their dance portfolios and plan to pursue dance studies at the college level.

This year’s participating schools include Kensington CAPA, Northeast, CAPA, Franklin Learning Center, Esperanza Academy and Benjamin Rush High Schools.

HSCMP will perform on March 19 and showtime begins at 6:30 pm.

The performance is free and open to the public—no tickets required. Join us in celebrating and supporting these talented young artists!
